Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born May 5, 1988 in North London, England. She was the only daughter, Penny Adkins, an "arty mom" who was only 18 at the time of his birth, and Welsh father, Mark, who left the family when Adele was just 4 years old.
Mark, who never married Penny, has been in contact with his daughter until his teens, when his problems with alcohol, and the growing distance from her daughter, made their relationship deteriorates.
